New MRI scanner arrives at Telford diagnostic hub

A new MRI scanner has been installed at Shropshire’s first Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) in Telford.

Its arrival marks the second phase of the site opening after it first became operational in October.

Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH) says it has been awarded more than £10m of funding for the conversion of Hollinswood House into a diagnostic centre.

The trust says the new MRI scanner will be used to help diagnose conditions and plan treatments for patients.
